I've always wanted to try wheel throwing and this final semester in college apparently it was in the cards for me finally. In the past I have learned a few of the basic hand creation ceramic techniques; pinch pots, coil work, slab work. One of the first assignments we created was something that was made out of coils. I chose to create a flower pot with crisp corners and a stenciled vector vine design... It didn't turn out that way, but I am still happy with the result. |
