A few years ago I got the itch to learn to knit. So I traveled to my neighborhood craftstore and bought a set of needles, some really cheap yarn, and a few books to supplement the youtube tutorials I was already hording in my digital backpack.
I decided rather than knitting some squares for practice, I was going to make a scarf. Nearly three years later, I finally finished that scarf (I did a bunch of other projects in between).

Because this was such a longstanding project (and as a noob I sucked at documenting) I don't have pictures that chronicle the project steps, but here's a direct link to my ravelry and my project details. 1 skein - Cafe Latte - Super Saver Solids by Red Heart less than a 1/4 skein - Black - Super Saver Solids by Red Heart Needle: US 8 - 5.0mm Basic English knit stitch + six thread tassels in black Final length is over 5 feet long, nice and cozy!
