More scarves! For the past few years I have started craft projects to give to my mom for Christmas and for whatever reason I never finish them. Last year I ACTUALLY finished one. I made her a lovely circle scarf in a soft stripped cream color with lace trim. Then, I made one for myself. :-) The original inspiration came from Pinterest that my mom sent me as a Christmas hint. Th pattern for this was really simple. One long rectangle, twice the width of what I wanted the final scarf to be. Then I flipped the stripped fabric inside out and sewed the long edges together with a zig-zag stitch. I then flipped the whole tub right-side-in and folded over the rough edges and slipped one end into the other and zig-zag stitched through all four layers of fabric. Last step was to measure out and cut the lace and lay it over the seam and zig-zag stitch around all four sides. Here's my mom's! Here's mine! | Inspiration from: sealoquesea.wordpress.com Pattern Basis: inhonorofdesign.com |
